the google map settings allow you to configure the location services function across your platform from here, you can add your google maps api keys, choose which countries users can search from, and set a default starting location for clients these settings ensure that customer addresses are accurate, and the overall location based experience is smooth for your users finding the google map setting log in to your hyperzod admin panel navigate to settings in the platform setup section, find google maps and click on it adding your google map api keys the first section is map api keys you need to configure your google map api key for your location services to function properly defining searchable countries this setting controls where your customers can search for addresses global if you leave global selected, your users can search for addresses anywhere in the world select country if your business operates in a specific country, choose select country you can then add up to five countries this prevents users from trying to place orders from outside your operational area setting a default location for customers the default client user location section allows you to define a preset location for customers when they open your platform when a user enters the website, it will automatically open the discovery page based on the preset default location, skipping the home page and avoiding the need to manually detect or request the user's location enable the default location for clients enable the default location for clients option to set a starting point for all users when active, users automatically begin from the location you define specify the location by entering its latitude and longitude or by searching for it on the map hide the location bar when enabled, it hides the location input bar in the client app customers won’t be able to change their location manually, which is useful when your business operates in a fixed area or city and you want to keep orders restricted to that location if you leave the “hide location bar in client app” box unchecked, customers will still begin at the default location, but they’ll also be able to search for and select a different address once you have configured all your settings, simply click on the save button frequently asked questions (faqs) can i remove the home page and set the discovery page as my default landing page? yes, this is possible if your store is a multi vendor, you will need to provide a default address that can be used to bypass the customer login/signup screen and redirect users directly to the discovery page this can be done by navigating to the admin panel > settings > google map > "enable default location for clients" and then putting in the address so that the next time a user comes, they land directly on the "discovery page" with the preset location however, if your store is already a single store, then after the customer fills out the location, they will be taken directly to the "discovery page " which map service does the platform use for location and delivery services? our platform currently uses google maps as the default and primary map service for all location based features, including address searches, distance calculations, and delivery routing google maps is one of the most reliable and accurate mapping solutions available globally, trusted by major enterprises for its extensive coverage, real time traffic data, and precise geolocation capabilities why am i seeing the message “google map api keys not set” when i type in a location to search? this message appears when the google maps api keys have not been configured in your admin panel to fix this, simply navigate to admin panel > settings > google map , and enter the api key obtained from your google cloud console once saved, your map related features, such as location search, delivery distance, and live tracking, will start working correctly why do i see the message “enable billing on google cloud project”? this message appears when billing is not enabled for your google cloud project, which is required for google maps services to work to fix this, follow these steps go to google cloud console > billing log in with the same google account used for your project select your active project linked to the google maps api add or link a valid payment method (google provides free monthly credits) once billing is enabled, the map and location features on your platform will start functioning normally for more detailed guidance on resolving any google maps–related error messages, please refer to the official google maps documentation https //developers google com/maps/documentation/javascript/error messages https //developers google com/maps/documentation/javascript/error messages how can i hide the location option so users cannot change the predefined location on the discovery page? if you want to prevent users from changing a preset or default location, you can simply hide the location bar in the client app to do this, navigate to your admin panel > settings > google map , and under the default client user location section, enable the option “hide location bar in client app ” once enabled, users will no longer be able to modify the predefined location, and the system will use the set default location automatically
